The Ultimate Blog Party 2008!
by Linda ~ March 8th, 2008. Filed under: Contest. We are very happy to participate in this year’s party, and it is actually a special celebration for RS Designs.
Before telling our story, let us tell you that we are each offering a $40 store credit to be used toward any RS Designs’ purchase totaling $40 or more for two lucky winners. Check out the prize list for your chance to win!
Now, who are we? RS Designs stands for Revka Stearns Designs and is owned by the lovely Revka. Revka attended last year’s Ultimate Blog Party and stumbled across Linda’s blog, Making a Happy Life, where she threw a party with Brazilian food. At that particular time, Linda had grown incredibly tired of the normal Blogger template and wanted to make a header to spice up her blog a little, but that the program she was using wasn’t the right one for the job. She mentioned this in a post, and Revka, who had just discovered how fun it was to play with painting programs on the computer, offered to help. That was the beginning of a beautiful friendship and an ever growing business, and today we are proud to offer quality blog designs at affordable prices. So Thank you, Janice and Susan, for bringing us together!
Revka is a work at home mom in North Carolina with three lovely girls and a little boy on the way. She blogs over at The Porch Light about motherhood, cooking, and everything in between. Between homeschooling, paid blogging, teaching piano, designing blogs, and caring for her family, her days are quite full.
Linda is a Swedish work at home mom who lives in Brazil with her Brazilian husband and their little boy often referred to as “Chori√ßo” who is 4 yrs old. She is a prolific blogger who writes about motherhood at Mama’s Coffee Corner and uses Making a Happy Life to try to help other moms work at home.
We are very happy to have you here; please tell us a little about yourself, and we will come visit you all! Feel free to look around to see what we offer, and shoot us an email if you have any questions.
Of course we want to give you something to nibble on, so here comes a recipe for brigadeiros, which is a typical Brazilian sweet that is present at every party:
Brigadeiros
1 can of condensed milk
4-8tbsp chocolate powder (or 2-4tbsp cocoa)
2tbsp butter
Add the condensed milk and chocolate to a pan and bring it to boil, lower the heat and stir until thick. Add the butter and remove from the heat. Grease a plate with a little oil or butter, make small chocolate balls and roll in chocolate granules or coco.
To drink we offer freshly squeezed tropical juice - no stronger drinks at this blog I’m afraid.
Now have a nibble and let us know you stopped by!
