I can’t believe how soon February 14 will be here.  I am excited about launching Berries and Cream Blog Design, and I hope you are excited about the party, too.  I’ll keep you posted.

On February 14, 2009, RS Designs will become Berries and Cream Blog Design (tagline – How Yummy Is Your Blog?).  We have several good reasons for this change:

1. To clear up domain name confusion – several people have gotten our name wrong because our domain name does not match our business name.  That was inexperience on my part, but this time around the domain name and the business name will match – no more confusion.
2. To create a tighter focus – we will only be selling blog-related products and services through this site. (You can still contact us directly for other design needs, however.)  While we are cutting some products, we have many more in the works, and we think you will like the new products very much.
3. To get more targeted traffic to boost our sales – search engines think sites with one line of products are more relevant to searches for that kind of products.  Because we sell print, web, and blog services and products here, search engines theoretically will consider us only 33% relevant for each of those terms.

We plan to continue our three main series: Featured Friday, In the Spotlight, and Blogger Tutorials.  In fact, we plan to publish each series on a specific day each week so that you will know when to come looking for the information you need.

We are planning to have a two-week launch party with fantastic prizes to be won.  In order to do that, we need your help.

1. We need you to help spread the word.  We would love if you would tell your readers about Berries and Cream Blog Design’s launch party.  Within the next ten days, we will also have buttons for you to post on your blog or website.
2. We need prizes.  We already have some prizes promised, but we need a lot more.  In return for your generous donation, you will be listed and linked to on our Prizes page (which will be prominently promoted on our home page), and you will be featured in an upcoming In the Spotlight post.

Our current subscription service will expire then, and if you have not signed up with our new service, you will no longer receive blog updates and monthly subscriber discounts and incentives.
